Apple is expected to report its next quarterly earnings on October 29th. By then management will have had 2 weeks of data on Duo orders to base their guidance on. However I think the product will be supply constrained.

@i_am_fabs It used to be hard to compute the daily cost since the resale value was not known precisely in advance but with the Apple Upgrade it’s right on the store web page. The lease cost for 12 or 24 months divided by 30.41. I use the 24 month term for my comparisons.

@i_am_fabs The cost per day can be lower if phone is owned longer but the values I cite are based on market values of used phones so they typically take into consideration the longevity. An iPhone priced at $100 will likely last you 100 days. A $350 phone is good for about a year.

@elfary74 The iPhone is used 80 to 100 times per day adding up to 4 to 6 hours on average. No other product comes close except perhaps one’s bed.
